Archaeology captures the imagination of young and old alike

It's that time again: the Archaeology Days are here again! Together with the Heritage Department of the Province of Limburg, Musea Maaseik is organizing the Emma and Otis Archaeology Days for families with children at the Regional Archaeological Museum in Maaseik on May 25 and 26. During these instructive days, children, together with their (grand)parents, will be immersed in the wonderful world of archaeology.

Emma and Otis are two toddlers from an archaeology story, drawn and narrated by Liesbet Slegers. The booklet, developed by PCCE Limburg, introduces children to an abstract theme such as archaeology in an accessible and playful way. Dive into an exciting quest with Emma and Otis in the unique setting of the museum. Can you find the archaeologist's attributes? Then you can roll up your sleeves with a fun craft activity. The life-size Emma and Otis board game will also be back! Moreover, at the end each participating child will receive a Junior Archaeologist diploma and a unique gift.
