The Wednesday morning market in Maaseik has been a tradition for ever!
For fruit and vegetables,flowers and plants, freshly baked bread, but also trendy clothes and seasonal articles, the weekly market is always a success. It’s pleasantly busy, as people browse and shop, and take the time to chat over a coffee. In Maaseik we have a special word for it: “sajële”. It’s a feature of the weekly market.
