A fusion of Art, Culture and Movement!

The Interlimburg Art Bike Days are back and promise to offer a unique experience for art and cycling enthusiasts in Belgian and Dutch Limburg. During the Whitsun weekend of May 19-20, the picturesque roads along the banks of the Meuse River will serve as the canvas for a colorful mix of artistic expressions, ranging from paintings and sculptures to iron art and ceramics.

This year, art lovers will have the opportunity to participate in a journey through the beautiful Meuse landscape, stopping at various art venues along the way. Cyclists can enjoy a leisurely tour of picturesque Meuse villages while being immersed in the beautiful vistas of the Meuse River. In addition, during this weekend there is another opportunity to get acquainted with a unique selection of local Wines, Beers and other regional products.

The Interlimburg Art Bike Days provide a platform for both established and emerging artists to present their work to a wide audience. Visitors can be inspired by the diversity and creativity of the artworks on display, while enjoying the healthy and active lifestyle that cycling has to offer.

The route runs along the Meuse, on the Dutch side, from Roosteren via Illikhoven and Schipperskerk toward Grevenbicht to Berg aan de Maas, crossing the ferry to Belgium. There the route continues to Dilsen-Stokkem, via Elen, Aldeneik and Ophoven to Kessenich. From Kessenich the route then goes back along the Meuse to return to Roosteren via the bridge in Maaseik.

The route is about 50 km and the 14 locations are free to visit.

The exhibition locations are open both days from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The artists themselves are present at the locations.

You can start at any location and pick up a free route brochure. Furthermore, the route is also signposted with red, numbered arrows.

On Facebook via "Interlimburgse Kunstietsdagen" you will find the necessary information per participating artist, including the bike route, which you can also download.
