A great ending to the Oeterfeesten is the well-known old crafts and regional products market
This market is a staple during the annual Oeter Festival. On Sundays you will meet various artisans and producers of tasty local products, near the cozy Blueberry Square. Their atmospheric stalls and attractive wares attract many people every year.
Be surprised by the interesting demonstrations at the various old crafts. From clog maker to scissor grinder, or barber, there is a lot to discover here. The craftsmen are happy to explain their passion. Fascinating for young and old.
At the local producers you can enjoy with all your senses. You are offered a taste and you can buy something to enjoy in the evening or to give as a present to someone. Have you already tried the Oterke, a Pinot from the Aldeneyck wine estate, homemade jam, homemade limoncello, or artisanal dried sausages?
The local product of Opoeteren, the blueberry, provides an extra attraction! The blueberry pies are baked on site in an original wood oven. Both the baking and the firing of the oven are 2 crafts in themselves. Be quick because the delicious flans are flying out the door!
A tractor and covered wagon will be on hand from 2 to 5 p.m. Anyone may join in for a free tour of the beautiful surroundings. Furthermore, the Dorpermolen is in operation from 10 to 17 hours. The present millers lead you around their beautiful mill with great enthusiasm.
Conviviality prevails here, as the many visitors know only too well. For all activities of the Oeterfeesten, please visit www.oeterfeesten.be.
