From Heppeneert's little church, you walk straight to the Meuse.
In early June, this new footpath, which runs dead straight from the church towards the Meuse, was constructed by RLKM's Landscape Team. It is not a walking loop, but a small-scale unpaved path between two fields! It leads to a unique spot on the Meuse: a lee-shore spot where there will soon be some Meuse boulders to sit on. Enjoy the magnificent view of the nature reserve opposite (Visserweert). Totally relaxed, you then walk back towards the village.
