On April 20, 1963, seven boys and three girls from the Episcopal College in Sittard walked, following the American example, the first Kennedy march in the Netherlands. Walking 80 km in 20 hours. An achievement of stature! This makes the Kennedy-March Sittard the oldest Kennedy march in the Netherlands.
Nowadays, the Kennedy-March Sittard takes place every year on the Saturday before Easter.
